Amazing Overhead & 3D Fantasy City Map Generators!
This is one of the most amazing city generators I’ve ever seen. You can randomly generate a city map, then even edit it and tweak to suit you. Then, you can even see a 3D Rendering of your City!

To get started, this Medieval Fantasy City Map Generator (https://watabou.itch.io/medieval-fantasy-city-generator) does not simply generate a static image. This is a web based software which generates a random medieval city layout of whatever size you want. Small, Medium or Large city or town maps can be created. The map even labels the city sections for you!
There are labels like Slum, Craftsman, Dock, Gate, Castle, and Shanty Town to help you better understand the map created.
After the initial map is created, then you’ve got a bunch of creative freedom to edit!
There are both Style and Layout Options for the Maps
City Map Style Customization Options
Map Size: Small, Medium, Large
Map Palette: Default, Ink, Black & White, Night, Blueprint, Sanguine, Ancient, Custom Color
Annotations: Small, Medium or Large for the City Wards
Hatching: Yes or No
City Block View: Either show individual buildings, or just a city block.
Towers: Round, Square, Bastions
Buildings: Off, Simple, Complex
Water: Isolines or Simplified

City Map Layout Customization Options
Continuous: Yes or No
More Roads: Yes or No
Random: Yes or No. If Random is On the following options are removed
Citadel/Castle: Yes/No
Plaza: Yes/No
Temple: Yes/No
Walls: Yes/No
Shanty town: Yes/No
River: Yes/No
Coast/Ocean: Yes/No

If that wasn’t enough there is a 3D City Map Visualizer!

When you’ve created and edited your map, you can open the Toy Town app and actually see your City in Three Dimensions! Absolutely phenomenal!
https://watabou.itch.io/toy-town
You can see the side by side in the featured image of this post which is the flat city map beside the 3D rendered version of the same town!

The only downside of the 3D Map Visualizer “Toy Town” is there seems to be no way to save. And if you reload the browser window housing your City Map from the first app, then the Toy Town one changes too.
My plan is to use the free Screen Capture Software oCam to record me moving around in the city then save the video file. It won’t be as cool for the players not to be able to zoom around the city’s map, but it is still an awesome map!
